Statement:  English GCSE results

Over 700 schools have reported English grades being lower than expected by more than 5%.  There are robust, ongoing discussions between schools, unions, the Department for Education and the exam boards to attempt to resolve this issue.  Any student or parent concerned about these results affecting college placements, apprenticeships or work applications should contact the school immediately.

Welcome to Bridgemary School,

Our key aim is to enable every young person to become a:

  • Successful Learner
  • Confident Individual and
  • Responsible Citizen

Bridgemary School is full of very talented young people, as demonstrated through our improving examination results, Rock Challenge achievements, Community and Art projects and University Maths programme. We believe that every young person has a talent and potential. Our dynamic curriculum provides opportunities and challenges for all students. We have high aspirations for every student as well as high expectations in terms of behaviour, uniform and discipline.

As a rapidly improving school, we are making many changes to continue to refine our work with children and parents. Details of these changes can be found in our regular school newsletters.

Enjoy and achieve is our strap-line for success.

We are a very open school and welcome visits and communication from parents and carers.

Yours sincerely

Richard Carlyle
Headteacher.
